Trace Robbins is an experienced R&D engineer with a proven track record helping researchers develop novel solutions to explore experimental questions. Having previously worked at the Max-Planck-Institute for Neurobiology in Munich, he developed expertise in both the design and small scale production of custom microscopy components and control systems. Trace’s knowledge of both off the shelf and custom solutions helped collaborators fabricate and implement tailored solutions for data acquisition on tight timeframes. His passion for education in the design space lead to his position here with iBehave where he currently heads the iBOTS Hardware platform, a team dedicated to consulting on and teaching the resources and design principles necessary for researchers to create their own customized hardware solutions.
