I studied Neurobiology in Tübingen, where I started programming in order to implement an experiment for my research on face recognition.
This sparked my interest for software and when I moved to Leipzig, where I did my PhD researching the cortical processing of auditory space, writing software for experiments and data analysis became an integral part of my work. After my PhD, I moved to the City of Rochester in Upstate New York, where I studied speech processing. During this work, I developed a toolbox for modeling neural responses to continuous speech that is increasingly used in the field. Now I work in the iBOTS team as a Research Software Consultant, and I am excited about focusing my efforts on helping researchers tackle the technological challenges of modern Neuroscience.
