Axel Block

Axel Block was trained as a radio and television technician at Radio König and later as a radar technician in the German Armed Forces. Throughout the course of his service, he amassed a diverse experience programming computers and microcontrollers for critical applications using Assembly, C, and Basic. In addition, he planned, constructed and maintained electro-acoustic systems. He moved on to the Theater in Cologne as a sound engineer in 1990 where he developed custom equipment for artistic stages, advised on acoustics, sets, and sound design as part of the artistic process. This included presenting his own art installations at festivals and concerts. Throughout his army and theater careers, Axel has gained a deep intuitive knowledge for troubleshooting, repairing, and restoring electronic systems. Now, he aims at sharing his experience in the iBehave network, in order to realize new ideas and research goals. His focus lies in presenting innovative, user-friendly solutions with custom designed circuits and mechanics.
